MARTIN BEND RESERVE

Public BBQ

Martin Bend Reserve offers a spectacular riverside camping destination along the Murray River, close to town yet feeling wonderfully remote. The spacious, grassy camping area provides plenty of room for caravans and tents, with sites well-distributed to maintain privacy. Basic facilities include clean flushing toilets, picnic tables, BBQ areas, and a dump point for RVs. While lacking showers and drinking water, the reserve compensates with its stunning riverbank location where visitors can watch water skiers and power boats, or try fishing. Shade comes from numerous gum trees, though these can limit solar panel effectiveness. The site features an on-site caretaker and costs just $5 per night. Best enjoyed in dry weather as areas can become soggy when wet. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful river views make it a favorite stopover.
